Is Catalyze Right for You? Program Eligibility, Support, and What to Expect

Event description

Presenters: Drs. Mike Pieck, Rahul Thakar, Diana Severynse-Stevens, and Sudie Rowshan

Join Catalyze leadership for a programmatic webinar designed to help prospective applicants determine whether the Catalyze program is the right fit for their translational research or technology development efforts. This session will provide a clear, practical overview of Catalyze's funding and translational support ecosystem, eligibility criteria, and application expectations.

Participants will learn about the different mechanisms of support Catalyze offers based on a project's stage of development, and how to identify the pathway that best aligns with their technology. The webinar will cover:

  • Early-stage technologies supported through the Product Definition Program, focused on refining the value proposition, use case, and development strategy
  • Preclinical-stage technologies supported through the Preclinical Services Program, providing targeted expertise to advance readiness for IND- or IDE-enabling activities
  • Regulatory-only support available through the Regulatory Services Program, offering regulatory guidance and strategy

In addition, Catalyze leadership will discuss what distinguishes Catalyze from other NIH translational programs including the SBIR/STTR program, the types of technologies and teams best positioned to benefit from support, and how to align proposed projects with program goals.

During this session, you will:

  • Gain an overview of Catalyze funding and service mechanisms across stages of development
  • Understand eligibility requirements and key application expectations
  • Learn how to assess program fit based on your technology's maturity and needs
  • Hear directly from Catalyze leadership and ask questions during a live Q&A

Webinar presented on January 9, 2026 to an invited audience.
